Engility named 2018 Industry Innovator by Washington Technology

PR Newswire

CHANTILLY, Va., Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Washington Technology has named Engility (NYSE: EGL) to its distinguished Industry Innovator list.

Lynn Dugle, Engility CEO

The competitive award identifies the most creative and impactful technology solutions in the government services sector. Engility was named an Industry Innovator for the creation of its Synthetic Analyst™ and MetaSift™ technologies.

Synthetic Analyst™ is an Artificial Intelligence platform built specifically for sensitive customer missions. It can be used to help government and military officials make more informed decisions in many situations, from the battlefield to search and rescue operations. Synthetic Analyst is an Explainable AI in that human analysts can see the decisions and steps it takes to arrive at solutions, and does not leave the technology’s process in a ‘black box.’

Engility’s MetaSift™ is a data analytics integration platform developed for the intelligence community but with much wider application. The technology allows users to sift through massive amounts of different types of data, such as audio and video, among others, spread across numerous different sources to find a piece of actionable information. Both technologies can work together or independently and are designed for government customers.

“Engility primarily sells brain power. Our number-one differentiator is our creative and determined employees who identify a problem and work to develop a solid, creative and reliable solution,” said Lynn Dugle, Engility chairman, president and CEO. “While we are honored by this distinction for our talented and innovative engineers, our focus is fielding these technologies that can make the jobs of our customers easier, and can quite literally change the world.”

Engility will be honored for the award at the Government Innovation Awards Dinner on November 8.  Information about the award, the nominees and winners can be found on Washington Technology’s website.
