Electrosoft Wins Position on the SeaPort Next Generation Vehicle

Professional services contract aligns well with Electrosoft’s core competencies

PR Newswire

RESTON, Va., Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Electrosoft, a leading provider of diversified technology-based solutions and services to the federal government, announced today that it has won a position on the U.S. Navy’s SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) contract vehicle. SeaPort-NxG, a follow-on to the SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) vehicle, is a potential 10-year (five year base period and a five year option), $5 billion contract for project management and engineering support services. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia is the contracting activity for SeaPort-NxG.

Notably, SeaPort-NxG will introduce major changes from the predecessor schedule. Rather than limiting task order bidding to contractors located within a specific zone, all contractors will be able to bid on SeaPort-NxG opportunities regardless of location. In addition, SeaPort-NxG offers two functional areas with 23 subcategories as opposed to the 22 functional task areas that SeaPort-e included. Finally, in awarding contracts, SeaPort-NxG emphasized a contractor’s U.S. Department of Navy experience over more generalized U.S. Department of Defense expertise. Among the U.S. Navy entities that will compete their project management and engineering support services requirements are Naval Sea Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Office of Naval Research and U.S. Marine Corps.

Sarbari Gupta, President and CEO of Electrosoft, said, “Being a contract holder on the SeaPort-NxG vehicle offers Electrosoft untold business opportunities over the next 10 years. We possess in-depth expertise across the contract’s 23 subcategories and two functional areas as well as specific experience performing work efforts on behalf of the U.S. Navy. These two factors make me very optimistic that we can leverage this vehicle to expand our footprint within the U.S. Navy.”

Electrosoft’s SeaPort-NxG contract number is N0017819D7570.
