Pentagon IG Rescinds Report of F-35 Technology Leaks

By Marina Malenic The Defense Department inspector general said last week that technology in the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter was not compromised by unauthorized access to facilities of subcontractor BAE Systems, as alleged in a previously issued report. In a March report, the inspector general had said that "incomplete" DoD oversight may have increased the risk of "unintended or deliberate release of information to foreign competitors."
