Pentagon Announces New Naval Nominations

The Defense Department on July 18 announced several new nominations for the Department of the Navy, including Naval Air Systems Command, the I Marine Expeditionary Force, and Navy Personnel Command.  According to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s announcement, Rear Adm. John Dougherty IV is being appointed vice admiral and assigned as commander of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Dougherty currently serves as the commander of  Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division/chief engineer at NAVAIR, a role he assumed in August…
