Nelson Ford Nominated As Army Under Secretary

The White House Jan. 22 sent the Senate the nomination of Nelson Ford as under secretary of the Army. If confirmed, Ford would take the position previously held by now-Army Secretary Pete Geren. Ford has been acting under secretary (Defense Daily, Dec. 5). In 2006, Ford was confirmed as Army assistant secretary--financial management and comptroller.
