NAVSEA Seeks Industry Thoughts On Torpedo Defense Systems

Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) recently released a request for information from industry for two of the three systems intended to comprise the Surface Ship Torpedo Defense (SSTD) family of systems expected to be deployed on aircraft carriers and combat logistics ships. NAVSEA asked industry to provide information about the development of the Countermeasure Anti-Torpedo Torpedo (CAT) and the Torpedo Warning System (TWS) which, along with the AN/SLQ-25 towed acoustic countermeasure, will form SSTD.
