NASA Calls for Comment on Draft Altair Request for Proposals

NASA released a draft request for proposals, or RFP, for designing the Altair lunar lander vehicle. Altair would ride to the moon with the Orion space capsule. The Constellation Program is developing Orion and the Ares rocket, leading to a first manned Earth-orbital flight in 2015. A lunar mission is seen by 2020.
