Israel’s Magal Security Systems received a $2.6 million order for an integrated solution to secure a seaport in West Africa. Under the contract Magal S3 will deliver a solution that includes the DTR taut wire perimeter intrusion detection systems to protect several kilometers of coastline, gates and access control, radio communications, and static and pan-tilt-zoom cameras. All sensors and communications will be networked to two command and control centers through Magal’s Fortis security management system. The management system will also integrate cooled thermal sensors and a remote acoustic hailing device. Separately the company received three orders worth $4.1 million total for security projects in Asia and Latin America. Two orders worth a combined $1.1 million are for equipment to protect the perimeters of two nuclear power plants in East Asia. The equipment includes perimeter intrusion detection systems, smart grids to protect water passes, a smart fence mounted fiber optic detection system and microwave detectors. Magal’s video management and intelligent video analysis application DreamBox is included in the order. The third order, worth $3 million, is for a federal crisis management bunker in a Latin American country. The solution includes a CCTV system with a large video wall, a visitor screening system with X-Ray, metal and biometrics detectors, access control, a public announcement system, a perimeter intrusion detection system and a site system for the building’s utilities.
