Johnson Wants ‘More Centralized, Mission-Focused Budget Process’ At DHS

Despite being on the job for less than three months, new Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told Congress this week that his department needs to reform its budget process so that it is mission-driven to help eliminate inefficiencies and close gaps.
