The House Tuesday night approved with little opposition several homeland security bills dealing with chemical and border security, and emergency communications. The Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) Program Authorization and Accountability Act of 2014 (H.R. 4007) codifies the Department of Homeland Security’s CFATS program and is aimed at improving security standards at chemical facilities.
