House Lawmakers Prod Navy On Growing Ship Fleet

By Emelie Rutherford Frustrated with the size of the Navy's fleet, House lawmakers told Pentagon officials yesterday they plan to take shipbuilding matters into their own hands, including trying to mandate two new surface combatants be budgeted for every one that is retired.
