HHI Subsidiary Gets Navy HM&E Contract

The Navy has awarded a Huntington Ingalls Industries [HII] subsidiary a contract to support hull, mechanical and electrical machinery and systems on Navy and other federal vessels, the company said yesterday. The contract with AMSEC is indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity and cost-plus-fixed-fee. If all four one-year options are exercised it could reach a total value of $92 million. The work will take place primarily in Norfolk, San Diego and Mayport, Fla. The contracting activity is being done by the Naval Surface Warfare Center…
