Greece Becomes 19th Foreign Nation to Join F-35 Program

Greece became the 19th foreign nation to join the F-35 program, as the country signed a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) on July 25 to buy 20 of the Lockheed Martin [LMT] fighters through U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS), with an option for an additional 20. The signing of the LOA means that contract negotiations on the Greek buy will begin. Greece plans to start receiving the F-35s in 2028.
