GOES-O Satellite Is Shipped

The second of three next-generation Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) was shipped to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., where it will undergo final preparations for launch this spring, The Boeing Co. [BA] announced. GOES-O was built at a Boeing plant in El Segundo, Calif. The satellite will be launched aboard a United Launch Alliance Delta IV vehicle procured through Boeing's commercial launch business, Boeing Launch Services.
