General Dynamics [GD] last week said its board of directors has authorized the company’s management to repurchase 10 million shares of GD’s stock on the open market. There is no expiration date for the share repurchase activity. In 2011, GD repurchased nearly $1.5 billion worth of its shares. The company also paid $678 million in dividends to its shareholders last year.
