GD Appoints Kirchmaier To Lead Advance Information Systems

General Dynamics [GD] yesterday said that Thomas Kirchmaier has been appointed president of the Advanced Information Systems business, part of the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) group. Kirchmaier, 56, succeeds Lewis Von Thaer, who resigned in April. Kirchmaier reports to David Heebner, executive vice president of IS&T. Before his new role, Kirchmaier led the Intelligence Solutions division of GD’s Information Technology (IT) business since 2007.
