F-35 Program Expects PTMU Contract In Next Few Months

The F-35 Joint Program Office said that Lockheed Martin [LMT] will be responsible for integrating a Power Thermal Management Unit (PTMU) on the company-built fighter to accommodate higher cooling and power requirements for the F-35 Block 4 upgrades, which are to include new weapons and sensors. The PTMU "program conducted extensive market research in early 2024, and concluded that only Lockheed Martin was capable of performing as the Lead Systems Integrator for a PTMU solution," the F-35 JPO said in…
