Archer Aviation [ACHR] and Anduril Industries on Thursday said they are in an exclusive partnership to jointly develop a next-generation hybrid-propulsion vertical takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft for defense applications with the goal being to get to a program of record with the Defense Department. The announcement said the agreement is for hybrid VTOL aircraft and the first product will be a hybrid-propulsion powered aircraft.
