Heilind Electronics, Inc., the largest distributor of electronic interconnect products in North America, yesterday said it has acquired Interstate Connecting Components (ICC), a distributor of electronic components for the defense and aerospace industries.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. For Heilind, the acquisition expands its presence in the aerospace and defense industry.

“ICC has long been a leader in customer service and technical support in the mil-aero industry and will greatly enhance Heilind’s ability to support customers in that marketplace,” Robert Clapp, president of Heilind, said in a statement.

ICC said the deal gives it access to greater financial, service and supplier resources.
