Democrats Introduce Bill to Spur System Sustainment by Military Services

Those in uniform have criticized military services' outsourcing of sustainment to industry as leading to higher costs, causing repair delays, and lowering military readiness. Last week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash.) co-sponsored the Servicemember Right-to-Repair Act.
