Deloitte has acquired the Vancouver, Canada-based information security services provider Integrity-Paahi Solutions, Inc. (IPS), the company said Tuesday.

IPS’ Vancouver location will become integrated into Deloitte as the company’s fourth Cyber Intelligence Center (CIC), a managed security operations center. Deloitte’s three other centers are in Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. Each CIC contains over 10,000 square feet of security operation center space and is part of the company’s global network offering of 24/7 managed security services to help organizations secure networks and detect and respond to cyber threats.

Deloitte said that the IPS management team will be integrated into the company’s Cyber Risk Services practice within the Enterprise Risk service area, operating as IPS Deloitte. The new subsidiary will then establish a new practice of cyber technology product reselling and integration that will make Deloitte a one-stop-shop for clients looking for both software and insights to protect critical digital assets.

“Joining forces with IPS provides us with instant scale in Western Canada and establishes a single place for our clients to access the full suite of solutions to solve their most complex cyber risk challenges. This is a key milestone in a series of strategic investments evolving our cyber risk practice, which has seen the team grow by 300 percent over the last two years,” Nick Galletto, leader of Deloitte’s Canadian and Americas Cyber Risk Services practice, said in a statement.

“We’re thrilled IPS is joining our team, enabling us to provide a more comprehensive set of services that will better serve our clients,” he added.

“Recently, we felt that we were at a crossroads – stay the course, or take the exciting opportunity to join Deloitte. We chose to join Deloitte; enabling us to grow and expand our offering across Canada, while continuing to deliver excellent service to our clients.” Karim Ladha, President and CEO of IPS, said in a statement.

Ladha highlighted that IPS will remain “nimble and quick to respond to the needs of our clients” and that this would not change by joining Deloitte.

“The partnership will allow us to continue fostering talent and as we grow together we will deliver enhanced services to our clients covering a much larger geography, with access to Deloitte’s global network of security leaders and state-of-the-art technology,” he added.
