Obama To Levin. President Barack Obama personally appeals to SASC Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.) to change military detainee provisions in the FY ’12 defense authorization bill, the Associated Press reports last Friday. Levin says last week he met multiple times with administration officials. The AP reports Levin’s contacts on the detainee matter are Obama and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.
