Defense Department Seeks Public Input On Trump’s Acquisition Reform Order

The Defense Department on Wednesday asked for public comment on a presidential directive to reform how the department acquires stuff, including mandating a preference for commercial solutions. The public has until August 8 to respond to the request for comments on Executive Order 14265, which is titled Modernizing Defense Acquisitions and Spurring Innovation in the Defense Industrial Base, issued in April (Defense Daily, April 10).
