Brazil Orders $11.6 Million In RBS 70 Air Defense Systems

Saab AB signed a contract to deliver $11.6 million worth of RBS 70 very short range air defence systems (VSHORAD) to the Brazilian Army, the company said Monday.The RBS 70 deliveries are set to take place during 2017 and 2018. The system is currently in service with the Brazilian Army and previously served in a protection role for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Saab said.The contract includes RBS 70 man-portable launchers, night vision equipment, training simulators, multispectral camouflage…
