Booz Allen Files For IPO

Venerable consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) yesterday said it has filed plans with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed public offering of its Class A common stock, The expected price for the share offering was not disclosed. Booz Allen said that proceeds would be used to pay down existing debts. The 95-year old firm is majority owned by the private equity firm The Carlyle Group, which acquired government consulting business of BAH in 2008 for $2.5 billion…
