The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MoD) Oct. 5 announced that Thales UK in partnership with Boeing [BA] were selected as the preferred bidder for the role of System of Systems Integrator (SOSI) for the Future Rapid Effect System (FRES) program. The through-life FRES program could have a potential total worth of as much as $100 billion.
