Kymeta Corporation has raised approximately $85 million in its latest funding round, led by longtime investor Bill Gates, the co-founder and former chairman and CEO of Microsoft [MSFT]. Kymeta’s leadership team personally invested $1 million as well, led by Executive Chairman Doug Hutcheson. Kymeta President and Chief Operating Officer Walter Berger outlined the company’s plans for the investment to Defense Daily sister publication Via Satellite.
