ATK’s Bid For MDA’s Space And Information Assets Edges Forward

Shareholders for Canada's MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) yesterday overwhelmingly approved the sale of the company's Information Systems and Geospatial Services business to Alliant Techsystems [ATK], keeping the deal on track to close sometime in the second quarter of 2008. However, before the transaction can close, it must still be approved by regulators in Canada and the United Sates. ATK said it is pleased with progress so far in both countries.
