American Science and Engineering [ASEI] has received a $25 million follow-on order from a Middle East customer for multiple Z Portal cargo and vehicle screening systems and OmniView Gantry cargo inspection systems. The systems will be used to scan vehicles and trucks entering a high-risk facility in the Middle East for explosive threats and contraband. “This is a breakthrough critical infrastructure order for us, and demonstrates the value that AS&E solutions provide for high-risk facilities in the Middle East and around the world,” says Anthony Fabiano, AS&E’s president and CEO. Separately, AS&E received a $2.2 million service renewal contract with a European Customs agency for service and maintenance for their cargo X-Ray inspection systems. AS&E says the contract extends a longstanding relationship with the agency.
