Army Taps Five Firms To Demo Self-Propelled Howitzers To Inform Post-ERCA Pursuit

The Army has selected five vendors to demonstrate their self-propelled howitzer solutions over the next two months for its pursuit to extend the range of its cannon artillery, with the results to inform a competitive evaluation phase in fiscal year 2026. A total of $4 million in Other Transaction Agreements was awarded to American Rheinmetall Vehicles, BAE Systems, Hanwha Defense USA, General Dynamics Land Systems [GD] and Elbit Systems of America, with the Army planning to assess their solutions as…
