Army Not Expecting Boeing Layoffs To Impact Apache, Chinook Programs

Senior Army officials said Monday the service is not expecting an impact to Boeing [BA] programs, including the Apache and Chinook helicopters, in the wake of the company’s plan to lay off 10 percent of its workforce.  “To my knowledge, we’re not expecting the layoffs that the company has announced to create difficulties for our programs,” Army Secretary Christine Wormuth said during a press briefing at the Association of the United States Army’s conference in Washington, D.C. “Doug Bush, our…
