The Armored Group (TAG) two German-based vehicle armoring companies in a deal it says complements its current capabilities, expand its production footprint internationally and its market share in Europe.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed. TAG, which is based in Phoenix, armors a range of vehicles types for law enforcement and federal agencies, and tactical units, for domestic and international customers.
TAC acquired JPA Armoring Gmbh and Fahrzeugbau Stadthagen Gmbh. The deals include manufacturing facility, tools, fixtures, equipment, intellectual property rights, designs, certifications and testing results. The companies provide capabilities to meet security requirements of governments, law enforcement, military and VIPs.
“This acquisition is important to TAG is it brings the company increased market share in Europe and strengthens our service capabilities for global customers,” Robert Pazderka, president of TAG, said in a statement. “It enables TAG to compete for business around the globe while we continue to build the best product and maintain the highest quality standards.”
TAG said it has retained all the key employees of the German firms.
