Air Force Preps For Thursday’s GPS IIF-6 Launch

Forecasts show a 30 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for Thursday’s launch of the Air Force’s sixth Global Positioning System satellite (GPS IIF-6), according to launch provider United Launch Alliance (ULA). The launch is scheduled to take place on a Delta IV rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. Launch window opens at 8:08 p.m. EDT.
