Accelerate HACM Production Ramp, HASC Advises USAF

The U.S. Air Force plan to field a limited number of RTX [RTX] Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missiles (HACM) by 2028 has led to a stated concern by the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) that the service needs to accelerate its HACM production ramp. "The committee notes that industry has been working since 2019 to develop, produce, and integrate high-speed technologies into air-breathing hypersonic weapons, to ultimately produce the next generation of tactical missile systems," according to language in the HASC…
