Harris Corporation Awarded $500 Million Geospatial Software Contract

Technology company and defense contractor Harris Corp. [HRS] on Tuesday announced a five-year, $500 million ceiling contract to develop software to help National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) analysts retrieve data faster and more efficiently.The software Harris will develop will increase data search capability for content within the NGA and the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence systems in an effort to provide more accurate support to warfighters and intelligence community agents reliant on the geospatial data.Harris has worked with the NGA for nearly…
