USAF Transfers Nuclear Munitions Squadrons To Global Strike

The Air Force has transferred munitions squadrons responsible for nuclear mission support from Materiel Command to Global Strike Command, the service said yesterday. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz signed the Nov. 20 directive seen as another step to strengthen the nuclear enterprise. The transfer is expected to be complete in December, the Air Force said.
