Technical Issues Lead To Boeing Australia TUAV Contract Termination

Technical problems have led to the Minister for Defence, the Hon. Joel Fitzgibbon MP, Sept. 4 announced that the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) and Boeing [BA] Australia have agreed to terminate the contract for the delivery of a Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV) System. As part of the agreement to terminate, Boeing will refund to Defence approximately $5 million paid to date under the contract.
