Airline to test Liberty’s HEXWAVE Scanner for Employee Screening

Liberty Defense says that one of the largest U.S. airlines plans to conduct beta testing of the company’s HEXWAVE people scanner in October at a major U.S. international airport. The walk-through HEXWAVE system can automatically detect hidden weapons and other potential threats, including metal and non-metallic times. The system is based on millimeter wave technology, video-rate 3-D imaging, and artificial intelligence and gives operators an automatic go/no-go decision in real-time. The testing will take place in the employee screening area and provide Liberty with feedback from the airline and at the same time train its AI algorithms on a diverse employee base. Bill Frain, Liberty’s CEO, says the testing came about because the airline visited the company’s headquarters to see HEXWAV in action. HEXWAVE is currently being beta tested at a Major League Baseball stadium, a large college, a large Hindu temple in North America, and major airports and will continue until the end of this year.

CISA Reaching Out for Nationwide Cyber Security Review Assessment

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is conducting its biannual Nationwide Cyber Security Review (NCSR) Assessment used to give a summary report to Congress that provides a broad picture of current cybersecurity gaps and capabilities of state, local tribal and territorial (SLTT) governments across the nation. The assessment also allows SLTT governments to manage cybersecurity-related risks through the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework which consists of best practices, standards and guidelines. The NCSR is an annual voluntary self-assessment that runs from October to February.
