TASC, Inc., yesterday said it has formed a new Naval Programs unit to better support its Navy customers and that the business will be led by Thomas Kilcline, a retired Navy admiral.
The Naval Programs unit will be in charge of operations in San Diego, Virginia Beach, Va., Washington, D.C., and Charleston, S.C.
Kilcline previously served as commander of Naval Air Forces, in charge of the Navy’s aviation force of 100,000, 11 nuclear aircraft carriers and 2,800 aircraft. He also was director of Naval Warfare Integration and Assessment and director of Air Warfare within the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.
Kilcline retired from the Navy in 2010 and meantime has worked as a consultant in the aerospace industry.
