L-1 Identity Solutions [ID] has received a $27.6 million to provide an automated face recognition system to the Department of State in support of passport and visa operations. It is required to provide, install, maintain and tailor the face recognition system to meet the department's needs as well as to update the systems periodically to the evolving state-of-the-art.
