State Department Okays $3.6 Billion AMRAAM Sale To Japan, $79 Million Saudi Torpedo Deal

The State Department last Thursday said it has approved a possible $3.6 million foreign military sale (FMS) of Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs) and related equipment to Japan. The potential sale includes up to 1,200 AIM-120 D-3 and C-8 AMRAAMs, up to 20 guidance sections for the D-3 variant to include either Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module or M-Code for precise positioning, up to four guidance sections for the C-8 variant, propulsion sections, warheads, training missiles and containers, and other equipment.…
