State Department Approves Harpoon Missile Sale To Thailand

The Pentagon on Aug. 10 said the State Department has okayed a potential $24.9 million foreign military sale of Boeing [BA]-built RGM-84L Harpoon Block II ship-launched missiles to Thailand.The pending sales includes six missiles, including one exercise missile, as well as related containers, spares, support and test equipment.The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said that the missiles, which the government has acquired before, will be used on the Thai navy’s DW3000-class frigate and help the country defend critical sea lanes.
