Smiths Gets $20M in Contracts to Supply Qatar Airport with X-Ray Systems

Smiths Detection has won over $20 million in contracts to provide automatic explosives detection equipment and checkpoint X-Ray systems at Qatar's New Doha International Airport that is currently under construction. The security systems are slated to be integrated by late 2011. Smiths says that more than a dozen of its HI-SCAN automotive explosives detection X-Ray screening systems will be integrated in to the baggage handling system at New Doha.
