Shipbuilder Fincantieri Appoints New CEO For U.S. Subsidiary

Italy’s shipbuilder Fincantieri appointed George Moutafis as the next CEO of U.S. subsidiary Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG), effective July 1. Moutafis succeeds Marco Galbiati, who had served as CEO since July 2022 after a stint as general manager from 2018 to 2022.  The company noted Moutafis has over 25 years of executive experience in strategic planning, program management and industrial restructuring in the public and private sectors.
