Senate Rejects Amendment For Biometric Exit System At Borders

The Senate yesterday rejected by a vote of 58-36 an amendment offered by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) that would have held up temporary grants of legal status to anyone that is unlawfully in the United States until a biometric entry and exit system is implemented at every land, sea and airport in the country.
