Cybersecurity company root9B signed a multi-year agreement with an undisclosed global sector leader to enhance the client’s cybersecurity environment to protect its global mission, the company said Thursday.

Root9B is set to provide Active Adversary Pursuit (HUNT) operations, threat intelligence, and other cybersecurity services under the agreement. The company plans to leverage remote HUNT operations for the pursuit, identification, mitigation and eradication of advanced cyber actors.

“This partnership brings root9B’s unique approach to Manned Information Security and HUNT operations to an important player in a critical sector. The client is executing a vital global mission and we are excited to be part of the team,” root9B Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eric Hipkins said in a statement.

The company also highlighted the effort will combine the root9B’s Orion HUNT platform with a business-driven Threat Intelligence service to create a cybersecurity environment that is focused on defeating the international adversaries of the client.
