Rheinmetall Vertically Integrated In The U.S. After Completing Acquisition Of Loc Performance

German arms developer and manufacturer Rheinmetall on Monday said it has completed its acquisition of Michigan-based Loc Performance Products, significantly expanding its U.S. presence base and adding production capabilities to better compete for Defense Department military vehicle programs. Before the acquisition, Rheinmetall’s contingent of about 300 U.S. employees were mostly focused on design activities whereas Loc Performance adds more than 1,000 workers and “is really focused on heavy metal bending,” Matt Warnick, managing director for American Rheinmetall Vehicles, told Defense…
