Raytheon hires former NSA official Teresa Shea to lead DoD and Intel cyber portfolio

DULLES, Va., April 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) today named former NSA official and In-Q-Tel executive, Teresa Shea, vice president of Cyber Warfare and Mission Innovations within its Intelligence, Information and Services business.

Reporting to John DeSimone, vice president of Cybersecurity and Special Missions at IIS, Shea will run a newly created business area which integrates Raytheon’s DoD cyber warfare initiatives with Intelligence Community cyber mission programs.

“Under Teresa’s leadership, this new business area will transform a major segment of our cyber business. Her in-depth knowledge and expertise will further enhance our unique solutions to address today’s rapidly increasing threat environment,” said DeSimone.

Shea was most recently Executive Vice President of Technology at In-Q-Tel where she directed technology investment and adoption with Intelligence Community and DoD customers. Prior to that, she had a distinguished 32-year career with the National Security Agency, culminating in her role as Director of Signals Intelligence.
