FAIRFAX, Va., March 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — In order to bring high-grade encryption to federal customers seeking security in the cloud, General Dynamics Mission Systems has entered into an OEM agreement to integrate the Bitglass solution into  commercially available software-as-a-service and on-premises offerings of the General Dynamics Route 66 Cyber Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).

The Route 66 Cyber CASB extends an enterprise’s existing security policies into the cloud, ensuring  that data is protected consistently in any environment. This enables organizations to safely migrate sensitive data and operations to the cloud, as well as ensure that sensitive information is protected as it is uploaded and downloaded from managed and unmanaged devices.

“Organizations can confidently migrate, protect, and monitor applications and data across multiple cloud providers with the Route 66 Cyber CASB,” said Chris Brady, president of General Dynamics Mission Systems. “General Dynamics’ time-proven, high-grade protection and deep mission understanding coupled with Bitglass’ CASB, will accelerate the adoption of government-ready cloud security solutions.”

Bitglass has a proven track record of success and a reputation for ease of implementation. Bitglass offers end-to-end data protection for any app, any device, anywhere. With support for managed apps like Office 365, G Suite, WorkDay, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, unmanaged  apps like personal Dropbox and social media, infrastructure-as-a-service  platforms like Amazon Web Services, and even custom  applications used by government customers, Bitglass is built to protect data wherever it goes in real time. Only Bitglass provides zero-day data protection, threat protection, identity management, and visibility – all without agents. The addition of General Dynamics Mission Systems’ long-standing encryption expertise brings a new level of protection to federal IT systems.

“The combination of Bitglass’  next-gen CASB and  General Dynamics Mission Systems’ long-standing reputation as a provider of high security for the most sensitive  information is incredibly powerful,”  said Nat Kausik, Chief Executive Officer of Bitglass. “Our solution will  give government  organizations  comprehensive security for all sensitive  data and applications in the cloud.”
