Akima Awarded $101.3M Logistics Support Contract at Fort Hood

Akima Support Operations will provide a range of analysis, management, and operational support.

HERNDON, Va., March 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Akima today announced that Akima Support Operations has been awarded a contract to provide logistics support to the Army Field Support Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas. The award has a 5-year period of performance and a total contract value of approximately $101.3 million, if all options are exercised.

The award was made to Akima under the Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise (EAGLE) Program. Working in support of the Army logistics mission, Akima will focus on efficiency and continuous improvement programs to support efforts for the Department of the Army, coalition partners, foreign governments, and other Department of Defense agencies.

Akima support will focus primarily on materiel maintenance, supply services, ammunition services, transportation, and associated logistics analysis and management functions in support of the mission.
